Possible Causes
Loose keypad ribbon cable, oxidized connector contacts, damaged control panel harness, failed control board communication circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing the control area.
- Access control panel: Remove the upper grille and mounting screws to tilt out the control panel on your Monogram microwave.
- Reseat ribbon cable: Carefully disconnect the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board. Inspect for corrosion, bent pins, or contamination. Clean gently with electronics contact cleaner if needed and reconnect firmly.
- Inspect harness: Check all harnesses between the user interface and the main control board for pinched or broken wires.
- Test operation: Restore power and test. If F6 clears and the unit operates normally, the issue was likely a poor connection.
- Replace components: If F6 persists, replace the control panel / user interface assembly. If a new panel does not resolve it, the electronic control board is likely defective and must be replaced.
