Possible Causes
Burned-out cavity lamp, loose lamp socket, failed lamp relay on control board, broken lamp wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before replacing the lamp. Some models require removal of the outer cover.
- Access lamp: On many Monogram over-the-range models, the lamp is accessible from the top or front via a service panel. On built-in models, the outer cover may need to be removed.
- Replace bulb: Install the correct wattage and type of cavity lamp specified by Monogram. Do not exceed the rated wattage.
- Check socket and wiring: If a new bulb does not work, inspect the lamp socket and wiring for damage or loose connections.
- Control board: If wiring is intact, the lamp relay on the electronic control board may have failed and require board replacement.
