Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before any inspection. Internal fuses are not user-serviceable in some regions; check your warranty.
Steps:
- 1. Check outlet and plug: Test the outlet with another appliance to confirm stable power. Inspect the Morphy Richards power cord for cuts, burns, or kinks.
- 2. Inspect internal fuse (for competent persons): Remove the cabinet and locate the main ceramic fuse near the power cord entry. If blown, investigate for underlying faults before replacing with the exact same rating.
- 3. Check connectors: Ensure the mains filter board and connectors to the control PCB are firmly seated.
- 4. Look for PCB damage: Examine the control PCB for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or cracked solder joints around the transformer or regulators.
Note: Because E7 typically indicates a control board power issue, replacement of the control PCB is often required. This should be done by an authorized Morphy Richards service center.
