Display shows LOC or a lock icon; buttons do not respond and microwave will not start.

Note: LOC is not a fault but a safety feature.

Steps to unlock (typical Morphy Richards procedure, but check your manual):

• 1. Press and hold STOP/CANCEL: Hold for 3–5 seconds until the LOC indicator disappears.
• 2. Alternative combination: On some models, press and hold the 0 key or the START key for several seconds to toggle the lock.
• 3. Test keys: Once unlocked, press several buttons to ensure normal response. If keys remain unresponsive, the keypad may be faulty.

If LOC will not clear despite following the manual, the control PCB or keypad may be defective and require service.
