How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Steps:

1. Power reset: Unplug the microwave for 5 minutes, then reconnect. If the lamp still stays on, a hardware fault is likely.
2. Check door closure: Ensure the door closes fully and latches. If pressing on the door turns the light off, the door switch alignment is off.
3. Inspect door switches (for trained persons): Adjust or replace the door switch assembly so that the lamp circuit opens when the door is closed.

If the switches are correct but the lamp remains on, the control PCB lamp relay may be welded closed and require board replacement.
