Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken or stripped turntable coupler, Misaligned or damaged roller ring, Food spill causing binding
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Steps:
- 1. Check loading: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean any food debris or spills from the cavity floor.
- 2. Inspect roller ring: Ensure the roller ring is not cracked or warped and that it rolls smoothly.
- 3. Inspect coupler: Remove the plastic turntable coupler from the motor shaft. Check for cracks or rounded splines.
- 4. Test motor: With the tray and ring removed, start a short cook cycle and look through the glass at the coupler area. If the motor shaft does not turn, the motor is likely faulty.
- 5. Replace motor (for competent persons): Unplug the unit, remove the bottom cover (or access panel), disconnect the motor wires, and replace the turntable motor with a Morphy Richards-compatible part.
