Possible Causes
Faulty touch control PCB, Damaged membrane keypad, Loose ribbon cable between keypad and main PCB, Liquid ingress behind control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before removing the control panel.
Initial checks:
- Wipe the control panel with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Ensure no cleaning fluid has seeped into the panel.
- Perform a power reset by unplugging for 5–10 minutes.
Panel inspection:
- Remove the trim and control panel (on Neff built-in models, this often involves removing screws along the top or sides).
- Inspect the ribbon cable from the keypad to the main PCB. Reseat the connector carefully.
- Look for signs of corrosion or moisture on the keypad PCB.
- If certain buttons do not respond or E006 persists, replace the touch control panel or membrane keypad assembly as a unit.
Reassemble and test. If the error remains, the main control board may be defective and should be checked by a Neff technician.
