Possible Causes

Failed turntable motor, Jammed turntable coupler, Broken turntable position sensor (if fitted), Damaged wiring to turntable motor

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave before working underneath or inside.

User checks:

  • Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean any spilled food or debris from the turntable support area.
  • Inspect the turntable coupler (plastic piece that fits into the motor shaft) for cracks or wear.
  • Rotate the coupler by hand; it should turn freely without grinding.

Motor checks:

  • Access the underside of the cavity by removing the bottom cover (on some Neff models, the motor is accessible from below; on others, from inside after removing the base plate).
  • Disconnect the motor wires and test the turntable motor for continuity with a multimeter. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
  • Check wiring from the motor to the control board for damage.
  • Replace the motor and/or coupler if defective, ensuring the correct Neff part number.

Reassemble, refit the roller ring and glass tray, and test. If E008 persists, the control board output to the motor may be faulty.
