Microwave displays E017 and the child lock cannot be activated or deactivated properly.

Safety: No internal high-voltage work is required for this check, but unplug before removing panels.

Reset and key test:

• Unplug the microwave for 5 minutes, then reconnect.
• Follow the Neff manual to correctly activate/deactivate the child lock (usually holding a specific key combination).
• Test all keys on the touch panel to ensure they respond correctly.

If keys misbehave:

• Remove the control panel and inspect the membrane keypad or touch PCB for damage or moisture.
• Reseat the keypad ribbon cable.
• Replace the keypad or touch control panel if certain keys are unresponsive or always active.

If E017 persists with a good keypad, the main control PCB may have a logic fault and require replacement.
