Possible Causes
Failed humidity sensor, Blocked sensor port with grease or food residue, Wiring fault between sensor and control board, Sensor out of calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before removing covers.
Cleaning and inspection:
- Locate the humidity/steam sensor (often behind a small grille inside the cavity or in the top area).
- Clean the sensor opening and surrounding area with a mild detergent and soft cloth. Do not saturate with water.
Sensor testing:
- Access the sensor from the top or side by removing the outer cabinet.
- Check the sensor connector and wiring for secure fit and no corrosion.
- Measure the sensor resistance or output according to Neff service data; replace if out of specification.
After replacing the sensor, clear the error by disconnecting power briefly. If E018 remains, the control PCB's sensor input circuit may be defective.
