Possible Causes
Faulty door interlock switch, Misaligned door latch, Defective START button on keypad, Control PCB input failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel or cabinet.
- Step 1 – Door check: Open and close the door firmly. Listen for distinct clicks from the interlock switches. If the door feels loose or does not latch, inspect the latch hooks for damage.
- Step 2 – Test other buttons: Try setting the clock or using other functions. If only START is unresponsive, the keypad membrane may be worn at that position.
- Step 3 – Child lock: Verify that the child lock is not active (consult your OBH Nordica manual for the specific key combination to toggle it).
- Step 4 – Inspect door switches: With the cover removed and power off, test each door switch with a multimeter for proper continuity when the door is closed. Replace any switch that does not change state reliably.
- Step 5 – Keypad / PCB: If door switches are good, the fault may be in the keypad or control board. Replace the touch control panel assembly first; if the issue persists, replace the main PCB.
