Possible Causes
Burnt-out cavity bulb, Loose lamp socket, Faulty lamp wiring, Failed lamp relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the lamp compartment.
- Step 1 – Locate lamp access: On many OBH Nordica models, the lamp is accessible from the rear or side via a small cover. Remove the screws and cover.
- Step 2 – Inspect bulb: Check if the filament is broken or the bulb is darkened. Replace with the exact type and wattage specified in the user manual.
- Step 3 – Check socket and wiring: Ensure the bulb is seated firmly in the socket and that the wires are not loose or burnt.
- Step 4 – Test operation: Reassemble and test. If the new bulb does not light but the microwave works otherwise, the lamp relay or control circuit may be faulty and require board repair.
