Possible Causes
Aged touch membrane, Cracked flexible circuit, Moisture ingress behind keypad, Damaged ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before working on the control panel.
- Step 1 – Test multiple keys: Note which keys fail. If entire rows or columns are dead, the membrane or ribbon cable is likely damaged.
- Step 2 – Check for child lock: Ensure the control lock feature is not enabled (see OBH Nordica manual).
- Step 3 – Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and inspect the flat cable from the keypad to the PCB for cracks or corrosion. Reseat it.
- Step 4 – Replace keypad: If individual keys remain unresponsive, replace the keypad membrane or the complete control panel assembly with an OBH Nordica-compatible part.
