Possible Causes
Failed cavity thermostat, Failed magnetron thermostat, Non-operational cooling fan motor, Blocked air vents
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before inspection.
- 1. Check ventilation: Ensure that the microwave has the required clearance on all sides as specified in the OK user manual. Remove any items blocking the rear or side vents.
- 2. Test fan operation: After cooling, plug in and start a short cook cycle while listening for the internal cooling fan. If the fan does not run, stop the cycle immediately.
- 3. Access the fan and thermostats: With the unit unplugged, remove the outer cover. Locate the cooling fan motor and the thermal cutouts (thermostats) mounted on the magnetron and/or cavity.
- 4. Check fan blades and motor: Ensure the fan blades spin freely and are not obstructed by debris. If the motor is seized or shows signs of overheating, replace the fan motor.
- 5. Test thermostats: Using a multimeter, check continuity across each thermostat at room temperature. A normally closed thermostat should show continuity; if open, it has tripped and may be defective.
- 6. Replace faulty thermostat(s) or fan motor: Reassemble and test. If E07 persists, further diagnosis of the control board's temperature monitoring circuit may be required.
