Possible Causes
Stuck power relay on control PCB, Shorted triac or transistor output, Control PCB logic failure, Shorted load causing relay contacts to weld
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave immediately if any component (light, fan, or turntable) runs continuously or if you smell burning.
- 1. Power reset: Leave the unit unplugged for 10 minutes, then reconnect. If E10 returns or a component runs without a command, the control board is suspect.
- 2. Visual inspection of control PCB: Remove the control panel and inspect the board for burnt spots near the relays or power components.
- 3. Check for welded relay contacts: If a relay appears discolored or cracked, it may be stuck closed. Replacement of the relay or entire control board is required.
- 4. Inspect connected loads: A shorted lamp socket or fan motor can overload the relay. Check these components for obvious shorts or damage.
- 5. Recommended repair: For most OK microwave models, the control PCB is replaced as a complete unit rather than repairing individual relays.
