Possible Causes
Failed humidity sensor, Blocked sensor port with grease or food residue, Loose sensor wiring, Faulty sensor input on control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing internal components.
- 1. Try non-sensor modes: Test basic timed cooking. If it works but sensor modes (e.g., Auto Cook, Reheat) trigger E14, the humidity sensor circuit is at fault.
- 2. Clean the cavity and sensor area: The humidity sensor is usually located on the top or side of the cavity behind a small grill or cover. Clean the interior thoroughly with mild detergent and water, then dry.
- 3. Access the sensor: Remove the outer cover and locate the small sensor module connected by a 2–3 wire harness near the cavity wall.
- 4. Check connections: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly seated on the control PCB and at the sensor end.
- 5. Replace the sensor: If cleaning and reseating do not help, replace the humidity sensor module.
- 6. If E14 remains: The control PCB sensor input may be defective and require replacement.
