Possible Causes
Failed main power relay on control PCB, Burnt relay contacts, Broken relay coil, Open wiring from relay to high-voltage transformer or inverter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the control board.
- 1. Confirm symptom: Check that the fan, light, and turntable operate normally but there is no heating.
- 2. Listen for relay click: Start a cook cycle and listen closely. If you do not hear a distinct click from the control board area when heating should start, the relay may not be energizing.
- 3. Inspect control PCB: Remove the control panel and examine the relay area for discoloration or cracked solder joints.
- 4. Repair or replace: If you are skilled with electronics, you may replace the relay and reflow solder joints. Otherwise, replace the entire control PCB.
- 5. Check wiring to transformer/inverter: Ensure the wires from the relay output to the high-voltage transformer or inverter are intact and firmly connected.
