Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken or worn turntable coupler, Damaged roller ring, Stripped drive shaft
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the turntable drive.
- 1. Check tray and ring: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean and inspect for cracks or flat spots on the rollers.
- 2. Inspect coupler: Check the plastic coupler on the cavity floor for cracks or rounding of the drive splines.
- 3. Test motor operation: With the tray removed, run a short cycle and look through the window to see if the coupler turns. If not, unplug and access the motor from underneath.
- 4. Replace faulty parts: Replace the motor if it does not run, or the coupler/roller ring if they are damaged.
- 5. Reassemble and test: Ensure the tray sits flat and rotates smoothly.
