Possible Causes

Failed humidity sensor,Contaminated sensor window with grease or food,Loose sensor wiring harness,Faulty control PCB sensor input

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the microwave before removing covers.

Step-by-step checks:

  • 1. Clean the cavity thoroughly: Wipe the interior, especially the area near the steam/humidity sensor (often on the top or side wall behind a small grille). Use mild detergent and a soft cloth; avoid soaking.
  • 2. Power reset: After cleaning, leave the door open to dry, then unplug the unit for 5 minutes. Plug back in and test a sensor program. If E06 persists, continue.
  • 3. Access the sensor: Remove the outer cabinet. Locate the humidity sensor module (small PCB or sensor head connected by a harness to the main board, usually near the cavity wall).
  • 4. Check connections: Ensure the sensor plug is fully seated on both the sensor and control board ends. Look for corrosion or damaged wires.
  • 5. Replace the sensor module: If wiring is intact and cleaning did not help, replace the humidity sensor with the correct Privileg part.

Note: If a new sensor does not resolve E06, the control PCB may have a defective sensor input circuit and should be evaluated by a technician.
