Blown internal mains fuse,Faulty power cord,Open thermal fuse on cavity or transformer,Failed control board power supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave. Internal fuses and thermal devices are not always user-serviceable.
User-level checks:
- 1. Verify outlet: Test the wall socket with another appliance. Reset any tripped breakers.
- 2. Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks. If damaged, do not use the microwave.
Technician-level checks:
- Remove the cabinet and locate the mains fuse. Replace only with the exact same rating if blown and if local regulations permit.
- Test thermal fuses on the cavity and transformer for continuity.
- Check the control board for power at the low-voltage section.
Note: If a new fuse blows immediately, there is a serious internal fault that requires professional service.
