Microwave leaks steam or moisture around the door and control panel

Safety first: Some steam around the door is normal, but excessive moisture can damage electronics.

• 1. Clean door seal: Wipe the door gasket and mating surfaces with a mild detergent to remove grease and food residue. Dry thoroughly.
• 2. Check door closure: Ensure the door closes evenly all around. If one corner stands proud, hinges or latch may need adjustment or replacement.
• 3. Clear vents: Inspect and clean the external vents to ensure proper airflow. Blocked vents can force steam out around the door.
• 4. If moisture enters control panel: Allow the unit to dry completely by leaving the door open when not in use. Persistent ingress may require replacement of the door assembly or control panel seal by a technician.
