How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside.
- 1. Check tray and roller ring: Remove the glass tray and roller ring. Clean both thoroughly and ensure the ring rolls smoothly.
- 2. Inspect coupler: Check the plastic coupler that engages the motor shaft. Replace if cracked, melted, or loose.
- 3. Test motor function: With the tray removed, run the microwave briefly with a cup of water. If the coupler does not turn, the motor may be faulty.
- 4. Replace motor (advanced): Access the motor from the underside by removing the bottom cover. Disconnect the wires, remove mounting screws, and fit a new Russell Hobbs-compatible turntable motor.
