How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before removing the control panel.
Steps:
- 1. Surface cleaning: Clean the keypad with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Do not soak.
- 2. Drying: If moisture from steam has entered the panel, leave the door open and allow the unit to dry for several hours, then test again.
- 3. Reseat ribbon cable (advanced): Remove the control panel and reseat the keypad ribbon cable into the control PCB.
- 4. Replace keypad: If specific keys remain unresponsive, replace the membrane keypad panel or full fascia assembly with a Salter-compatible part.
