Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken or stripped turntable coupler, Mis-seated glass tray, Worn roller ring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug before handling internal parts.
Steps:
- 1. Check tray seating: Ensure the glass turntable is correctly seated on the turntable coupler and roller ring.
- 2. Inspect roller ring: Remove and inspect the roller ring for broken wheels or warping. Replace if damaged.
- 3. Test motor: With the tray removed, start the microwave with a cup of water placed off-centre on the cavity floor (if safe to do so). Look through the window to see if the coupler turns. If it does not, the motor is likely faulty.
- 4. Replace motor (advanced): Access the underside of the cavity and replace the turntable motor with a Salter-compatible part.
