Possible Causes
Defective cavity temperature sensor (thermistor), Open or shorted sensor wiring, Loose connector on main PCB, Failed control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before any disassembly. Avoid contact with high-voltage components.
- Reset unit: Unplug for 10 minutes and reconnect. Try a short cook cycle with a cup of water. If E-22 reappears, proceed to inspection.
- Check for overheating: Make sure vents are clear and that the unit is not installed in a confined space without proper airflow.
- Locate sensor (advanced): The cavity temperature sensor is often mounted on the top or side of the oven cavity, accessible after removing the outer cabinet. Inspect for broken wires or burnt insulation.
- Reseat connector: Follow the sensor wires to the main PCB and reseat the connector. If the sensor appears damaged or tests open/shorted with a meter, replace it.
- Control board: If a new sensor does not resolve the error, the main PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
