How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before working near the fan or duct.
- Check filters: Remove and clean grease filters. Replace charcoal filters if used in recirculating mode.
- Inspect damper: Check the damper flap at the top or back of the microwave to ensure it opens freely and is not installed backwards.
- Check duct: Inspect the external vent hood for obstructions such as bird nests or debris.
- Service fan: If airflow is still weak, the vent fan motor or fan blade may be damaged and should be inspected and replaced by a technician.
