Possible Causes
Failed turntable motor, Broken or worn turntable coupler, Misaligned or dirty roller ring, Stripped motor shaft
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before accessing the turntable motor from below.
- Check setup: Ensure the glass tray is seated properly on the center coupler and that the roller ring is correctly positioned and clean.
- Test without load: Remove the tray and roller ring, then run the microwave briefly with a cup of water off to the side. Look through the window to see if the center coupler turns.
- Clean components: Wash the tray and roller ring with warm soapy water, dry, and reinstall.
- Motor replacement (advanced): If the coupler does not turn, the turntable motor under the cavity is likely faulty. Replacing it requires removing the bottom cover and should be done by a technician.
