Possible Causes

Open grill heating element, Failed convection heater, Faulty heater relay on control PCB, Overtemperature cut-out on heater assembly tripped

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

SAFETY: Unplug the microwave. Heating elements and surrounding metal can remain hot after use.

E07 indicates a problem in the grill or convection heating circuit.

  • Step 1 – Visual inspection:
    • Open the door and inspect the grill element at the top of the cavity for visible breaks or burn spots.
    • On convection models, inspect the rear wall heater and fan area for damage or heavy grease buildup.
  • Step 2 – Cooling and reset:
    • Allow the unit to cool fully (at least 30 minutes).
    • Unplug for 5 minutes, then reconnect and test grill/convection again.
  • Step 3 – Internal checks (for DIYers):
    • Remove the outer cabinet.
    • Locate the heater terminals and associated thermal cut-outs.
    • Check for loose or burnt connectors.
  • Step 4 – Professional testing:
    • Use a multimeter to test continuity of the grill and convection elements.
    • Replace any open element or tripped non-resettable thermal cut-out with the correct SilverCrest part.

If elements and cut-outs are good, the control PCB heater relay may be faulty and requires professional repair.
