How to Fix / Troubleshooting
SAFETY: Unplug the microwave before opening the control area.
E10 is a general internal error code.
- Step 1 – Hard reset:
- Unplug the microwave for at least 15 minutes.
- Plug back in and set the clock; test basic functions.
- Step 2 – Check for moisture:
- If E10 appears after heavy steam cooking, allow the unit to dry for several hours with the door open.
- Step 3 – Control connections (for DIYers):
- Remove the control panel.
- Reseat all ribbon cables between the display board and main control PCB.
- Inspect for corrosion or moisture on connectors.
If E10 returns frequently, the control PCB is likely failing and should be replaced with the correct SilverCrest module by a technician.
