Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
SAFETY: Unplug the microwave. High-voltage components are dangerous; only trained technicians should work on the power section.
E17 suggests the control is running a program but not energizing the cooking circuits.
- Step 1 – Confirm symptom:
- Start a cook cycle and listen for the usual relay click and hum of the transformer.
- If there is no click or hum, the relay or its drive may be faulty.
- Step 2 – Visual PCB inspection (for DIYers):
- Remove the control panel and inspect the control PCB for burnt areas or cracked solder joints around the relays.
Relay replacement and soldering should be performed by a qualified technician. In many cases, the entire control PCB is replaced.
