Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
SAFETY: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool before inspection.
E20 indicates the cavity is not heating as expected in grill/convection mode.
- Step 1 – Door seal check:
- Inspect the door gasket for gaps, burns, or deformation.
- Ensure the door closes firmly without play.
- Step 2 – Heater function:
- Start a grill or convection cycle and carefully feel for heat at the top or rear (do not touch elements directly).
- If little or no heat is produced, the heater may be weak or open.
- Step 3 – Internal inspection (for DIYers):
- Remove the cabinet and check heater wiring and connectors.
Heater or sensor replacement should follow SilverCrest specifications and may require a technician.
