How to Fix / Troubleshooting
SAFETY: Unplug the microwave before accessing the control panel.
- Step 1 – Surface cleaning:
- Clean the keypad with a soft, slightly damp cloth; avoid excessive moisture.
- Step 2 – Drying:
- If the panel was exposed to steam or spills, leave the door open and allow several hours to dry.
- Step 3 – Ribbon cable:
- Remove the control panel and reseat the keypad ribbon cable on the control PCB.
- Step 4 – Replacement:
- If certain keys still fail, replace the membrane keypad or entire control panel assembly with a SilverCrest part.
