Microwave interior light does not turn on, but unit heats and operates normally

SAFETY: Unplug the microwave and allow the lamp area to cool.

• Step 1 – Access lamp:
  • On many SilverCrest models, remove the outer cabinet or a dedicated lamp cover.
• Step 2 – Replace lamp:
  • Remove the old lamp and install a new one with the exact same rating and base type.
  • Avoid touching halogen lamp glass with bare fingers.
• Step 3 – Check holder:
  • Ensure the lamp is firmly seated and contacts are clean.
