How to Fix / Troubleshooting

SAFETY: Unplug the microwave before accessing the underside.

  • Step 1 – Tray and roller ring:
    • Remove the glass tray and roller ring; clean both thoroughly.
    • Inspect the roller ring wheels for flat spots or broken rollers.
  • Step 2 – Coupler:
    • Check the plastic coupler on the cavity floor for cracks or wear.
    • Replace the coupler if it no longer grips the motor shaft properly.
  • Step 3 – Motor (for DIYers):
    • Access the turntable motor from the bottom of the unit.
    • Test and replace the motor if it is open-circuit or seized, using a SilverCrest-compatible motor.
