Microwave shows E15; interior light may flash or flicker when starting.

Safety: Unplug the microwave before replacing the lamp. Do not remove the outer cabinet unless the design and manual explicitly allow user lamp replacement.

User checks (if lamp access panel is provided):

• Locate the lamp access cover (often on the side or top of built-in models) as described in the SMEG manual.
• Remove the cover and inspect the lamp. If the filament is visibly broken or the bulb is blackened, it is likely blown.
• Replace with the exact type and wattage specified by SMEG, ensuring it is suitable for microwave use.

After replacement:

• Reinstall the cover securely before plugging the unit back in.
• Test by opening/closing the door and starting a short cycle.

If E15 persists:

• The lamp holder, wiring, or control PCB may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
