Possible Causes

Worn touch membrane, Moisture behind control panel, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Faulty control PCB input circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the microwave before handling the control panel.

Cleaning and drying:

  • Wipe the touch panel with a soft, dry cloth. If sticky or greasy, use a slightly damp cloth with mild detergent, then dry thoroughly.
  • If the panel was exposed to steam or spills, leave the door open and allow the unit to dry for several hours.

Reset:

  • Unplug for 5–10 minutes, then plug back in and test button response.

If certain keys remain unresponsive or require excessive pressure, the touch membrane or control panel assembly likely needs replacement by a technician.
