Microwave displays E17 and the child lock cannot be enabled or disabled

Safety: No internal high-voltage work is required for this check, but unplug if removing panels.

Reset steps:

• Refer to the user manual for the exact child lock key combination (often pressing and holding a specific button for 3–5 seconds).
• Attempt to toggle the child lock several times.
• Unplug the microwave for 5–10 minutes to reset the control board, then plug back in and try again.

If the E17 code persists and the lock function does not respond, the control board or keypad may be faulty and require replacement.
