Microwave interior light does not come on, but unit heats and runs normally

Safety: Unplug the microwave before replacing the bulb. Some models require cabinet removal.

Steps:

• Locate the interior light bulb access panel (often behind a grille or on the back).
• Remove the cover and carefully unscrew or pull out the bulb.
• Replace with the exact type and wattage specified by Summit.
• If the new bulb does not light, inspect the light socket and wiring for damage.

If the socket and wiring are good, the control board light relay may be faulty and require board replacement.
