Microwave emits a strong burning or electrical smell during or after use.

Safety: If you smell burning plastic or insulation, unplug the microwave immediately.

• Step 1 – Inspect and clean cavity: Look for burnt food, splatters, or grease on the walls, ceiling, and around the waveguide cover. Clean thoroughly with a non-abrasive cleaner.
• Step 2 – Check grill element (if fitted): Some smell is normal the first few uses of the grill. If persistent, inspect the element for heavy grease buildup and clean carefully.
• Step 3 – Internal inspection: If the smell is electrical (sharp, acrid), remove the outer cabinet and look for discolored wiring, burnt connectors, or charred components. Do not operate until the source is identified and repaired.
