Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Always unplug the microwave before inspection. Do not touch or tamper with the high-voltage section (magnetron, capacitor, transformer) unless you are a trained technician.
External airflow checks:
- Ensure the microwave has adequate clearance on all sides as specified in the Teka manual (usually several centimeters around and above).
- Check that wall or cabinet vents are not blocked by objects, dust, or grease.
- Clean external vents with a soft brush or vacuum.
Internal cooling system checks (advanced):
- Unplug the unit and remove the outer cover.
- Locate the cooling fan assembly near the magnetron and transformer.
- Spin the fan blades by hand; they should rotate freely without scraping.
- Check the fan motor wiring harness and connector for loose or burnt contacts.
- Use a multimeter to test the fan motor for continuity; replace if open or seized.
- Locate the magnetron thermal cut-out (thermal fuse) clipped to the magnetron body or waveguide; test for continuity. Replace if open, but only after confirming the fan and airflow are correct.
Note: If E02 recurs after ensuring proper ventilation and fan operation, the magnetron may be overheating internally and should be replaced by a professional.
