Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the microwave before removing the control panel or touching internal wiring.
Initial steps:
- Unplug the unit for 2–3 minutes to reset the electronics, then reconnect and test.
- Wipe the control panel surface with a dry, soft cloth to remove moisture or spills; avoid spraying cleaner directly on the panel.
Panel and cable inspection:
- Remove the top grille (if built-in) and the control panel mounting screws as per Teka instructions.
- Carefully tilt the control panel forward to access the ribbon cable.
- Disconnect and reconnect the keypad ribbon cable to the main PCB, ensuring it is fully seated and not corroded.
- Inspect the cable for cracks or kinks; replace the touch control panel if the membrane is damaged.
Note: If E06 persists after reseating the cable and drying the area, the control PCB or keypad assembly may need replacement.
