How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the base or internal components.
Basic checks:
- Remove the glass tray and roller ring; check for broken or jammed parts that could overload the motor.
- Try starting the microwave briefly (if safe) without the tray to see if the motor attempts to turn.
Internal checks (technician):
- Access the underside of the cavity to reach the turntable motor.
- Test the motor for continuity and insulation; replace if shorted or open.
- Inspect the fan motor similarly.
- Check the main PCB for a blown track or relay damage in the motor drive section.
