How to Fix / Troubleshooting
User-level checks:
- Confirm the wall outlet has power by plugging in another device.
- Check that any external circuit breaker or fuse has not tripped.
- Inspect the power cord for cuts, burns, or kinks; do not use the appliance if the cord is damaged.
Internal checks (technician):
- Unplug the microwave and remove the outer cover.
- Locate and test the internal line fuse; if blown, investigate for short circuits before replacing.
- Check the door interlock switches and wiring, as some models route mains through them.
- If fuses and switches are good, the main PCB may be defective.
