Possible Causes
Failed main control PCB, Stuck power relay on control board, Loose wiring harness between control board and power section, Surge-damaged microcontroller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave before opening the cabinet.
- Power reset: Leave the microwave unplugged for 10–15 minutes to allow the control board to fully discharge. Plug back in and check if E06 clears.
- Inspect wiring harness: Remove the outer cover and inspect the harnesses going to the control PCB. Reseat all connectors firmly, especially those leading to the power relays and door switches.
- Check for visible board damage: Look for burnt spots, cracked solder joints, or swollen components on the control board. If present, the board should be replaced.
- Replace control PCB: If E06 persists and no external cause is found, replace the main control board with a Telefunken-compatible module, transferring any wiring one connector at a time to avoid mistakes.
