Possible Causes
Failed humidity sensor, Sensor wiring harness damage, Steam sensor window blocked by grease, Faulty sensor circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave.
- Clean the sensor area: Locate the steam/humidity sensor opening inside the cavity (often on the top or side). Clean the area gently with a soft cloth to remove grease and residue.
- Inspect sensor wiring: Remove the outer cover and trace the small harness from the sensor to the control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and wires are not pinched or broken.
- Replace humidity sensor: If cleaning and reseating do not help, replace the humidity sensor with a Telefunken-compatible part. It is usually held by one or two screws.
- Test in sensor mode: Reassemble, plug in, and test an auto-cook program. If E11 persists, the control board sensor circuit may be defective and require replacement.
