- Inspect door switch bracket: Remove the cabinet and locate the door switch assembly. Ensure the bracket is not cracked or bent, which can prevent proper switch actuation.
- Test monitor switch: With a multimeter, test the monitor switch according to its NO/NC configuration. Replace if it does not change state correctly when the door is opened/closed.
- Verify light circuit: If the door switches are good, check the interior light bulb and its socket. Replace the bulb with the correct Telefunken type if blown.
