Microwave does not power on at all; display is blank and no lights or sounds from the Telefunken unit.

Safety first: Unplug the microwave before any inspection.

• Check outlet and breaker: Test the wall outlet with another appliance and check the household breaker or fuse.
• Inspect power cord: Look for cuts, burns, or kinks in the Telefunken power cord. If damaged, replace the cord assembly.
• Internal fuse check (for competent DIYers): Remove the cabinet and locate the main fuse near the power entry. If blown, investigate for shorts (door switches, line filter) before replacing with the exact same rating.
• Door switch check: A shorted or open door switch can blow the fuse or prevent power. Test and replace faulty switches.
• Noise filter board: If the fuse is good but no power reaches the control board, the line filter/power entry board may be defective and should be replaced.
