Possible Causes
Burnt-out cavity lamp, Faulty lamp socket, Broken lamp wiring, Failed lamp relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the microwave and allow it to cool.
- Access the lamp: On many Telefunken models, the lamp is accessible from the rear or side by removing a small cover. On others, the outer cabinet must be removed.
- Replace bulb: Remove the old bulb and install a new microwave-rated lamp of the same type and wattage. Do not use a standard household bulb unless specified.
- Check socket and wiring: If the new bulb does not work, inspect the socket for corrosion and the wiring for breaks. Repair or replace as needed.
- Control board relay: If power is not reaching the lamp, the control board lamp relay may be faulty and require board replacement.
