How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Step 1 – Hard reset: Turn off the circuit breaker or unplug the Thermador microwave for at least 10 minutes. Restore power and check if E06 clears.
- Step 2 – Check power quality: Ensure the microwave is on a dedicated circuit and not sharing with heavy loads. Avoid using extension cords or power strips.
- Step 3 – Inspect wiring (qualified persons): Remove the top/side cover and verify that all harness connectors to the main control board are fully seated and free of corrosion or burn marks.
- Step 4 – Replace control board: If the error persists and no wiring issues are found, the main control board is likely defective and should be replaced with a Thermador OEM board.
Note: After control replacement, some models may require configuration or calibration per the service manual.
