Possible Causes

Open or shorted cavity temperature sensor,Loose sensor harness connection,Failed sensor circuit on control board,Heat damage to sensor wiring

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing covers.

  • Step 1 – Reset: Unplug or switch off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power to see if E07 clears.
  • Step 2 – Locate sensor (qualified persons): Remove the outer cover. The cavity temperature sensor (NTC) is typically mounted on the top or side of the oven cavity with two wires leading to the control board.
  • Step 3 – Check connections: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly seated on the control board and that the wires are not pinched or burned.
  • Step 4 – Test sensor: With a multimeter, measure the sensor resistance at room temperature and compare to Thermador specifications. An open or shorted reading indicates a bad sensor.
  • Step 5 – Replace sensor: Install a new Thermador-compatible cavity temperature sensor if defective.

Note: If a new sensor does not resolve the error, the control board sensor circuit may be faulty.
